I have to comment here, because I commented on my own thread also. I know people hate ebay, but I just picked up a NIB Surefire 6P for $40 shipped. The original 65 lumen incandescent bulb isn't much light, but considering that there are 1000 lumen replacement lamps for $13 shipped with a supposed 1.5 hr run time, the total price isn't bad, and like I'm trying to point out, it's a Surefire.

If you have the 1000 lumen replacement lamp, can you tell us more about it?

Well I'm adding 2 of them to my order, PM me if you want one (or another Fenix brand flashlight since I can get most of them).

A friend on mine gives very high praise to Fenix flashlights. He is a mechanic so i know it is used and mishandled daily.

    Love my TA21..

Uses the 18650's so I own two of those.. keep one on the charger one in the light .. and a spare set of cr123's just incase I somehow don't charge both bat's..

the 18650's last mad longer then cr123's ( well with the 3000mah one's I have)

I'd buy another fenix if I ever mange to break this one.. I dropped it.. thrown it .. used while making an unruly bar patron find his way out the door ( those "tactical" serrations really do work ... ) ... camping .. toured the country with it 3 times on rock tours dropped it once from about 20 feet to wood flooring other then dings and scrapes works just fine.

Had a L2D (2 AA batteries) for about 6 years now. Use it quite a bit and have had no problems.

Zombie thread, but wanted to update on my LD10. It began acting funny, flickering, sometimes working, sometimes not (possibly same issue Buffcyclist was having in post #7). I finally decided to sit down and try to get it working properly, and come to find out, the whole thing including the tail cap comes apart, and is serviceable. The tail cap had become loose, and there was some corrosion around the solder. I cleaned everything up, tightened everything down, and it functions perfect again. The LD10 trudges on, now at nearly 5.5 years of daily carry.
