pop the tail cap off and you can see the plate for the switch just tighten it up a bit and it should fix it .. they were left hand threads if I recall correctly .. ( yeah you are supposed to use the proper spanner wrench.. I used a set of fine needle noses to do it )
I took it apart to change out the battery and it turns out the battery (brand new) exploded, battery acid on everything. Tried cleaning it up, but the light is fried and won't turn on. After a couple weeks of research, I ended up replacing it with a Fenix PD22. Just got it yesterday and so far, I love it!

Yes, -based on shining them both against the wall in front of my desk (it's not even a close comparison).

Had a L2D (2 AA batteries) for about 6 years now. Use it quite a bit and have had no problems.

Thank you sir. Hopefully I'll be able to pick at least one up some time this summer before my new job starts.

Zombie thread, but wanted to update on my LD10. It began acting funny, flickering, sometimes working, sometimes not (possibly same issue Buffcyclist was having in post #7). I finally decided to sit down and try to get it working properly, and come to find out, the whole thing including the tail cap comes apart, and is serviceable. The tail cap had become loose, and there was some corrosion around the solder. I cleaned everything up, tightened everything down, and it functions perfect again. The LD10 trudges on, now at nearly 5.5 years of daily carry.

Yeah, I didn't think my post was worthy of a new thread, so I piggybacked off of yours.
