Default You gotta hear this, you'll die laughing

Heard the funniest story last night.....

Had a discussion wiht a guy last night, and we started talking about guns, and then CCW permits. He told me of (what I assume to be quite awhile back) of when he had a Sherriffs Commission to carry a concealed weapon (sort of a may issue precurser to a CCW) as he was an alarm technician, and sometimes had to respond to alarm drops.

Anyways, he was carrying his Glock 19 in his truck and got pulled over for something by a Colorado Highway patrol officer. He informed him that there was a gun in the car, officer asked him to step out of the car, the officer reached down on the center console and picked up the gun, and was looking it over really carefully for awhile. He then came back to my friend who was waiting in the back of the patrol car, explained to him why he was pulled over, etc, and then I swear to God, asked him, "What kind of gun is a G-Lock?" Actually said it like that! I almost died, and I guess so did my buddy when the guy said that. Cop got all pissed off, cause he was being laughed at.

I can see not knowing how to pronounce an uncommon gun that you just don't see everyday, but Christ, a Glock!?!? Don't nearly half of the police depts. out there carry them?

    Thought I'd share that.
I spent my Obama Stimulus money on a GUN!

That is funny. I thought CSP was into Smith and Wessons though. (Didn't they just upgrade to the new M&Ps??)

For some reason it doesn't sit to well that one citizen(LE) who is issued a gun by the gubment, (who doesn't even know what a G-Lock is) is detaining another that does.

This doesnt surprise me in the least. I have been out to the CSP Academy and have seen some of the recruits.

Time to revive this old thread as it seems to be an apprpriate place to post this:

This old story out of Texas. Seems a guy makes a rolling stop at a stop sign, and gets pulled over by a local policeman. Guy hands the cop his driver's license, insurance verification, plus his concealed carry permit.

"Okay, Mr. Smith," the cop says, "I see your CCW permit. Are you carrying today?"

    "Yes, I am."

"Well then, better tell me what you got."

Smith says, "Well, I got a .357 revolver in my inside coat pocket. There's a 9mm semi-auto in the glove box. And, I've got a .22 magnum derringer in my right boot."

"Okay," the cop says. "Anything else?"

"Yeah, back in the trunk, there's an AR15 and a shotgun. That's about it."

"Mr. Smith, are you on your way to or from a gun range...?"

    "Nope."

"Well then, what are you afraid of....?"

    "Not a damned thing..."

I thought it was a joke I've heard before... starts like that, but then goes something like this:

"Do you know why I pulled you over?"

    "No officer, I don't"

"you didn't stop at that stop sign, you just slowed down"

    "What's the difference?"

"step out of the car, please"
(officer starts beating the driver repeatedly with his nightstick, and the driver is screaming in pain)

Then the officer yells, while still beating him with the nightstick
"DO YOU WANT ME TO STOP, OR TO SLOW DOWN?"
