    Default Going Sledding

    im taking the family sledding, the closest hill to me is ruby hill, if any of you have been there its like little mexico on weekends and holidays. Do any of you guys know any good hills, i dont mind driving if its fun. if any of you guys want to go the more the better. oh and were can i get a decent sled that wont brake after the first run

    The hills in back of the Westminster Rec Center are GTG. The old American Flyer sleds are the best-wood top and steel runners. Don't even know if they're still made.

    i think the metal sleds are illegal to sled with now. but ima check behind the westy center

    You can still buy American Flyer sleds but they are not cheap

    Damn-probably falls under "putting an eye out" policy nowadays
    Sleds are running about $80 at Northern Tool-WOW

    Myers Ranch in Conifer. Huge hill, lot's of people, kick ass jumps for the kids. -8F right now though. Might want to wait until tomorrow.

    Great hill-we used to go there with the Scout troop and then go to the hot dog place for lunch-I think it's been moved since those days.

    The cheapest round and toboggan sleds are our favorites. Tubes are awesome if you have enough snow to cover hazards.
    For pricey heirloom sleds try http://www.mountainboysleds.com/index.html made local and sold world wide (still on my list).

    Damn after web searching looks like a new good old fashioned sled run anywhere from $80-$150. I'd be keeping my eye out at thrift stores,craig's list,and garage sales for used sleds.
