Can anyone tell me when Remington started offering a 1911.

I'm not usually big on Ruger bolt guns (simply personal preference) but if they're not inordinately proud of this one, I may have to look into one simply because of the magazine. I have a nice built by me scout gun in .308 but the magazine is nice. How hard are they to get, Bailey? And how much?

That Ruger reminds me of the old Spanish FR-7 and FR-8, which I've always wanted...

I picked one of these up years ago from Dave's. I like it, but I don't want to cart it around as a scout gun unless I can find a second one.


My bet is on a 1911 as well. Most of the other big players have a 1911 in their pistol lineup, it just makes sense for Ruger to have one; like the AR...

How hard are they to get, Bailey? And how much?

I'd probably sell them for around $699.00 + 3.9% tax. I've checked several distributors but no one seems to have them readily available just yet. They're probably allocated right now while they get into the supply stream.

List on the gun is $995. It's a model M77-GS (GunSite) and Ruger's item # is 6803.

The SP-101 has been available in .22LR for many years.
