That is a shame... A nice 1911 would have been great.

Totally lame. They should try being first to the party sometime.

I wouldn't have been impressed if they released a 1911, but that's just me. I'm unique.
This new gun looks like a copy of the latest Taurus.![]()

For about $50 more you could get a much better gun that works![]()
I'm disappointed. Not terribly surprised, but disappointed. I suppose there's a decent market for something like this, but I would really think that there would be more of a market for a 1911 based on their popularity. I don't really need or want more than one small frame autoloader for carry, but I have 3 1911's. They have been doing well (as far as I know) with their SR-556, it seems a 1911 would a logical step in their product line. I think that scout rifle is a great thing, although I think their retail list price is rather steep for what it is. Of course, for around what Bailey said he could sell one for I'm thinking hard about one. This little 9, not so much.

to be honest I think it is a great idea. I had an lcp , and was pretty damn impressed with the little pocket pistol, yet still worried about the smaller caliber. I think there is a huge market for a small 9mm that can be concieled so easily, yet still pack a punch.. Its on my list to buy, and as majority of ruger's firearms, it will be affordable as well. I have always felt ruger to be one of the best bang for the buck manufactures of firearms out there. I have several of their m77 rifles, and out of the box accuracy is second to none, when you factor in price and overalll build quality
