    Default More fine appointees

Here They Come...this will make your day!

    Kareem Shora Arif Alikhan

Well, boys and girls, today the fox is guarding the hen house. The wolves will be herding the sheep!

Obama appointed two devout Muslims to homeland security posts.

Obama and Janet Napolitano appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a 'devout Catholic," a "devout Jew" or a "devout Protestant"...?
    Just wondering.

Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Doesn't this make you feel safer already?? That should make our home land much safer, huh!?

Wasn't it "devout Muslim men" who flew planes into U.S. buildings 8 1/2 years ago? Wasn't it a "devout Muslim man" who killed 13 at Fort Hood?

Checked this on Snopes and it's true:

Kind of old news. The HSAC is more of an advisory/policy group with a Who's Who of retired political and security hacks. Even Gary Hart is in the group. When was the last time anyone took him seriously.

Arif Alikhan, was a computer hacker prosecutor in the US Attorney's Office in LA before going to work for the Mayor of LA as the local homeland security advisor.

I don't think think either of these two guys are worse than some of the non-Muslims in higher levels of government.

I wish both the government and the media would be more consistent in deciding whether religious faith is important or not. Either announce the religious convictions of all persons in public service or ignore the religious convictions of all persons in public service. No religion has a clean history when it comes to producing homicidal maniacs.

Judge a man by his actions. So far, neither one of these guys has said or done much of anything in the past year. Kind of makes them perfect for federal service.

We are at war with Islam. They want to kill us, we want to protect our country. Therefore, devout muslims should be an automatic disqualifier. Like BP said, Fort Hood is still fresh in our minds. Nobody thought much of Nidal Malik Hasan till it was too late. Our Gov't didn't think much of the hijackers till it was too late. These appointees are just an appeasement policy. They think that by appointing muslims, we will all of the sudden strike peace with these jihadist radicals. They will not stop till they run our country. If you don't believe me, look at Amsterdam or France.

You're right, BP. Nothing this administration does surprises me anymore. I'm hoping the new congress puts a crimp in his style. Hoping...

I wish it was that simple. If we were at war with Islam then we could justify killing or imprisoning all Muslims. That is what many of the jihadists are telling Muslims around the world; that the West is coming to kill them. It's not true, but there are those who will believe it anyway.

As it turns out, many of his peers thought Major Hasan had become unstable and was either radicalized or on his way to being radicalized. If his commanders had judged him by his actions prior to his homicidal rampage, they may have been able to stop it before it happened. To the victims and their families, the reasons why someone decides to shoot the place up are much less important than finding ways to identify and stop violent offenders before they act.

I'm no defender of Islam. I just don't subscribe to the "kill them all, and let God sort them out" simplification.

IMO the problems in the Netherlands and France, along with most of western Europe stem from simple demographics. In the long run, those having the most children, win. The wealthier western countries have stopped producing children.

    I Agree.
"Killem all, let God sort em out" Makes for a really gung-ho T-Shirt at your local PX/BX but makes for a Bad Policy.

I no more believe that every Muslim is out to kill me as much as I believe that every christian is out to kill me. there are nutjob extremists in every religion and those are the ones that we need to be hunting.
