Well, I drove 65 miles in the snow tonight. A few of our drivers crashed. The closing driver hit a curb and blew his tire. The driver that went to pick him up hit the same curb and was afraid to drive for the rest of the night. I ended up working a few hours extra and closing. The closing driver's windshield wiper motor went out earlier in the night and I initially told him "NO! I start my new job tomorrow morning!" but after seeing his wipers not working I relented. I came back to tell him that I'd cover him, but by then he already had a flat so I was stuck covering him anyway. He didn't have to leave immediately (walked home actually) and leave me with both mine AND his side work though. Fortunately, someone else came in and the other driver stayed late to clean the store, so I didn't have to do anything. It was actually a good night for me. I did hit a curb fairly hard once, and it could have been prevented, but no damage.
