I like the comments, it shows just how f'd up people are in NJ. But I do have to say I believe he knew the law and tried to get away with it. A reasonable person would not believe that you "can carry in another state as long as you are in your car". It's his fault for going to NJ, and its his fault for not checking the laws, but overall that is a jacked up place I will never go to!

But hey AZ loves us gun lovers

This should go to the supreme court. How can you get a felony by breaking a state law?

    LOVE IT MAN!!!

Stupid Jersey, The guy did act a little dumb by not doing any research before going and by clearly being out of the car. The worst thing he could have done was testify against himself. If I read it right he received two years probation. Better than jail time and hopefully he plays it a little smarter next time....and leave Jersey

Jersey is a screwed up place, and I know that from personal experience. I was stuck there a couple years before I managed to get out, back to this part of the country. There's a lot of really nice folks back there, but then you have your share of whackjobs that seems to be out of proportion. They can have that place, and if I never set foot in Jersey again it'll be too soon. Reminds me of that old Mac Davis song, except replace "Texas" with "Jersey". Texas isn't my favorite, but I'd go there in a second instead of Jersey.
