    Default Finally got around to it

    I've been hanging around firearms forums for over ten years, I even moderate one, but I never got around to joining this one. I was visiting with Justin yesterday and he mentioned it, so I thought I would sign up.

    Besides, I got my only AR15 from my wife and kids in 2009 as a 60th birthday present (a S&W M&P).

    I wish I could get Birthday presents like that!
    Well, to be fair, my wife asked what I needed, and I told her a decent red dot sight for my Mini 14, so I could use it on coyotes at close range.

    She gave money to my son (first mistake) and told him to go the gun store and get me something (second mistake). He thought the AR was way cooler than the red dot (and he was right).

    The AR will wear the iron sights because any coyotes over 100 yards or so call for the 25-06.
