I used to build bucket and boom trucks and there were holes that needed to have HeliCoils installed for accessories. The FNG's were the ones tasked with drilling and tapping the holes. Only they did not know that the inserts were installed after the truck came back from paint. We would tell them to go ahead and install the accessories and watch them as they could not get the bolts to tighten. If the FNG was fairly bright we generally would not mess with them too bad but if they were cocky or just plain knuckleheaded they were toast.

We used to have fun when they were learning to wire up the back of the truck too. A backup alarm stashed in a toolbox made for great fun when they were testing the wire work they just did. Hit the turn signals-the backup alarm sounded. Hit the brakes-the backup alarm sounded. Turn on the running lights, test the trailer brakes, E flashers the backup alarm sounded.

Switch the safety off, the backup alarm sounded.

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.

Default Make em or buy em....

I made six for my milldrill.

You can also buy them here-

I also bought a clamp set to go with the smaller nuts. I works nice to be able to use the smaller clamps at times.

BP. Thanks for the offer. I'll have to take you up on the offer in awhile. I can get by for awhile and I'm out of spare time right now. This is set up on a drill press and eventually will be a poor man's mill but right now I'm just going to be drilling holes in steel. I just need to make sure it's all at the proper angles, almost all 90 degrees.

Later on it will need to be better since I'm going to do some brass milling. I have a decent angle vise that will need to be aligned with the table so I can be accurate. This one has little feet, probably 5/16" and I want it to sit even in the mill table with it's 9/16" 1/2" x 13 T-nuts.
