Didn't see any thing out of the ordinary on this end..

As everyone can tell, I know very very little about computers, keyboards and all that stuff. Could the problem possibly be on my end, like maybe I hit some key inadvertently to turn off some of the normally available stuff? Another problem, not associated with my efforts to add smilies and quote marks on this site, after I print something, when I turn off the printer, the damn computer totally shuts down and this occurs about every other time I print something.... I hate to have to hire someone to come out here in the backwoods just to see what it going on with this damn hardware. Hey, getting old is the shitz.

Hooray, the smilies now work for me. Someone must have kicked a hidden switch with their foot or tripped over a wire but thanks, now they work just fine.
