Sounds like the kid did everything right.

I agree that many of the statements in the article are clearly prejudiced towards the anti-gun position, but also agree that (overall), the article was positive.

Glad he did what he did. His final statement hit it right on. Glad he said that.

Glad he didn't end up doing something he would've regretted later or hurt someone because of misidentification. On another note, is anyone else sick of all the "well it could have happened this way" and "what ifs" in the news?

He made the right decision by obeying two of the four rules.

    3. Never point a firearm at something or someone you do not want to destroy or kill.

    4. Be aware of your target and what's behind it.

Had he shot the old guy holding the gun, it would have been very bad for our cause and I'm immensely thankful that didn't happen.

However I don't think it was a wise move to get hands on with the old guy, at least not while armed.

I saw a video online of an interview with Zamudio, I didn't like it. He cried, and the whole piece was geared to make gun owners look weak.

the antis are already claiming concealed carry doesn't work. as usual they ignore the facts. the guy was nearby when cueball started shooting, but wasn't in a position to help immediately.

if nobody had tackled the shooter and he had been able to reload, Zamudio would have been right where he needed to be try and stop the threat.

I know what if's are stupid, but this is one that's most likely being ignored by the media.

I liked the part about college kids pulling guns during a religious debate. I went to a college in Downtown Denver and it felt like 4 more years of high school and I never saw so much as one fist fight. Trying to convince the public that people intelligent enough to be debating politics and religion in the first place are going to be pulling guns is nothing short of laughable.
