A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'
That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

I sincerely hope I never see him again. With any luck he'll cool down and get on with the rest of his life. From the way he was acting I have visions of him out there right now sawing down the 55 signs. I was surprised it ended up in a trial. I was quite ready to let him rewrite the ticket, sign and pay.

Nah. If you are right, you are right and should stand up for yourself. It is admirable to be willing to accept a lower speed citation, but he needs to be aware of the speed limits and zones if he is going to run traffic.

Damn shame. One bad cop ruins it for all the decent ones.
I agree. Most are honest and hard working folk doing a tough and thankless job. My son ran into a bad one in the Springs a few years ago and it cost me a bundle on a lawyer but I still believe, in the US, most are good and decent.Originally Posted by 2ndChildhood
