    Default Rat Terriers?

Anyone have a source for Rat Terriers? Looking for the line that is mostly black.

Flame suit on for wanting an ankle biter, but after having one for 15 yrs that could dang near talk, I'll take it. Smartest dog I've ever been around. Flame away.

Adopt one. Your local humane society gets pure breeds all the time. Or National Mill Dog rescue in Peyton has them too.

There are millions of dogs killed in shelters every year, you can help reduce that number.

My ankle biters are Yorkshire Terrorists.

I've got 4 Jack Russells...all rescues. Pretty similar, I'd think, to a Rat Terrier. Just lost my best buddy of 10 years, Stella, 2 days before Christmas. She was a rescue JR and a little over 16 when she died.

I really like Terriers and they love living in the mountains. It's like heaven for them.

I'll check out our local shelter for a Rat and ask around for a source.

I appreciate it. We've thought about the rescue option, went to a few. Guess I'm pickier than I should be, but am a firm believer in breeding counting in horses, dogs and people. Kinda want to know something about the parents. which brings me back to someone who raises them.

Also want to hold out till I find a litter with a near all black one. The sheds aren't as noticeable.

fun little dogs. we actually have a lhasa apso. amazing personality. doesn't listen to anything but "treat" or "bye-bye" and only comes when she wants to...but we love that little dog more than anything. she is super sweet, talks to let us know what she wants and is just a lot of fun.

I also have my "man dog". english setter, pheasant dog. loves hunting, surprisingly calm for the breed unlike his brother and listens extremely well. becoming quite a bird dog.

they both love rides, long walks on the sidewalk, playing fetch and cuddling in bed.

    pics included!

All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

If you go in and Look around, tell the people what you are looking for as far as breed, Gender, Disposition, They try HARD to work with you. I have seen them call other area shelters and check. If they do not offer, ask.

Reasoning is: Every adoptions is a life saved. Every Satisfied adoption is one that probably not going to come back, thus a life saved.
Contrary to popular belief, they are about saving pets, not destroying them.
