If you go in and Look around, tell the people what you are looking for as far as breed, Gender, Disposition, They try HARD to work with you. I have seen them call other area shelters and check. If they do not offer, ask.

Reasoning is: Every adoptions is a life saved. Every Satisfied adoption is one that probably not going to come back, thus a life saved.
Contrary to popular belief, they are about saving pets, not destroying them.
