Rat Terriers?

I've got 4 Jack Russells...all rescues. Pretty similar, I'd think, to a Rat Terrier. Just lost my best buddy of 10 years, Stella, 2 days before Christmas. She was a rescue JR and a little over 16 when she died.

I really like Terriers and they love living in the mountains. It's like heaven for them.

I'll check out our local shelter for a Rat and ask around for a source.

I appreciate it. We've thought about the rescue option, went to a few. Guess I'm pickier than I should be, but am a firm believer in breeding counting in horses, dogs and people. Kinda want to know something about the parents. which brings me back to someone who raises them.

Also want to hold out till I find a litter with a near all black one. The sheds aren't as noticeable.

fun little dogs. we actually have a lhasa apso. amazing personality. doesn't listen to anything but "treat" or "bye-bye" and only comes when she wants to...but we love that little dog more than anything. she is super sweet, talks to let us know what she wants and is just a lot of fun.

I also have my "man dog". english setter, pheasant dog. loves hunting, surprisingly calm for the breed unlike his brother and listens extremely well. becoming quite a bird dog.

they both love rides, long walks on the sidewalk, playing fetch and cuddling in bed.
