Yeah, Yahoo Japan + BB Loading holes (?) in the bottom of the magazines = some 30-40 year old Japanese with an Airsoft collection which, admittedly, is pretty darn good.
Me likey a lot of the toys in that room, guns & TV's alike.

My guess
looks like a workstation at a game studio. I bet you the guy is some kind of "weapon specialist" tasking of reproducing guns for a video game (COD, Medal Of Honor, ...).
One of my friend works for Lucasfilm / Lucasart in SF and they have a desk like this one to reproduce CGI model of firearms.
