The crime and other associated problems created by illegal immigrants is not the problem of the Federal government - it's up to the state and local governments to clean up those messes.

On the other hand, the Fed's get any and all advantages of the illegals (whatever they may be).

For them (Fed's), it's a win-win. Why would they bother to change that? (ETA: See Byte's response above - same concept, different words)
