    Default School closed AGAIN tomorrow

    I don't ever remember school closing because it was too cold. . . This is fucking up my work week!!!

    They will only close school when it hits 0 or below. They only do this nowadays because PARENTS were concerned about their poor little kids standing outside at the busstop waiting. It has nothing to do with road conditions, etc.

    Plus you have to think of the kids that don't have coats (but their parents have enough for cigs and booze). The problems with busses and money/budget cuts, etc....

    It's just a bad time for schools right now. But don't worry, the athletics program will still be going when they cut math, science, music, etc... hehehe

    yup i agree joe!
    here in ny when i was going to school in the early 80s there was no such thing as snow days
    but now with the teachers union and the sue happy capitol of the east its almost a daily occurance here during the snowy winters
    they start out with a 2 hr delay-ok not bad ill be late for work but then when you go bring the kids out-WHAM!!!-closed!!!now i gotta stay home!!!
    i dont mind the staying home part,just the not gettinng paid for it part
    but for the teachers it dosent matter they get paid anyway
    our snowman is coming out nicely though!!

    Ya the only time we got out of school was when the pipes busted because it was so cold!!
