This is a good thing-contact the listed reps tomorrow or e-mail them tonight.
We really need this type of legislation, especially with Hickyloopy as Gubbernor.

just in time. i could see them declaring a time like this (extreme cold) as a emergency and then they could ban transport of firearms. absolute insanity.

    just sent this email:

    Colorado State Senator:

I implore you to take a look back into the short history. Go back to hurricane Katrina and the city of New Orleans. A lot of legislation has come about due to the nature of that emergency, the natural disaster, and lack of outside help, the corruption within the front lines of the government down to the police level, and the citizens who were impacted by those faults.
Senate Bill 53 is necessary to gives citizens of Colorado the means to protect themselves during a State of Emergency.

Please do not let outside groups influence your actions, not the Brady campaign, not the NRA. Citizens need the right to protect themselves, it is written into the constitution, recently confirmed by the Supreme Court of the United States and now needs to be further confirmed by your votes.

Take note of the recent elections that the people are starting to listen, starting to demand their words are taken to heart by their elected officials. The people are tired of having their rights taken away, their voices stripped from them and their thoughts and feelings tossed aside. Please take that into consideration when you make your vote.

Please vote to give citizens the right and means to protect themselves in the event of an emergency.

Just emailed them tonight. Egypt has been in state of emergency for the last 30 years so who say's it might be a new fad for social justice.

Nice Sniper- Mind if I plagerize and send as well? I would however like to mention the renewed assault on 2A issues since the Tuscon incident.
