I like animals as much as everyone else, probably more, and have plenty of empathy. I just don't get upset over things like this, especially when they are just fine.

That's the problem. The only reason the dog is alive is because it happened to move and knock the box off a table. The person said they thought something was up because they heard panting, not because they saw air holes in the box.

BEST case scenario the dog would have arrived severely dehydrated and messed up for life.

Between the arctic temperatures, the species need for oxygen (holes or not, the boxes are stacked) and the fact that my company gets half our boxes crushed... I would have given that dog <1% chance of survival if not for it managing to fall off a table and the sense of the person picking the box back up.
