    USPS money order is good to go.
    tell him you will hold the rifle until the cash. I have seen fake ones before and that procedure has saved me a hell of a lot of work and headache.
    he would need to send 2 if it is over $1000, as that is the max allowed per USPS.

    he needs to send a signed copy of his FFL. I would verify it with ATF as well.

    USPS will ship rifles. fedex and UPS will also ship firearms. have copy of the FFL you are sending it to so they can verify the address.

    other than that I think you should be good to go.

    I would insure it as well (have him pay for it) or make the disclaimer that you aren't responsible if they lose it and it isn't insured.
