I honestly think that it is pretty stupid that with as expansive as the universe is.. to think we are the only intelligent life..

While I've never seen a UFO.. They could exist.

People believe in 'God' I don't see why intelligent life on another planet is so far fetched.. Same theory..

Different people, different perspective, same timing.. On the first video I could see I thought it may have just been a spotlight on haze but this one is better quality.
It's very interesting, I just don't believe it.

It's not the same theory and I won't get into debating it. In my perspective, with what we know about how life as we percieve it and the theories of how we developed, it seems stupid to me to think that there are little green men out there.

    Just a different perspective.

HAHAHA. I was just playing devils advocate. Seems like everytime this is something "unexplained" is has to be E.T.'s family or something and no one wants to look at terrestial means. Technology is amazing. (MIT students who made an invisibility cloak, UCLA grads who transported several atoms over 100 yards through a laser, etc)

As far as the brown aliens infesting the country... "Mars Attacks", kill 'em all, lol.

    Byte's right, UFO != ETI

When it comes to ET, I think the Drake equation makes sense, and Wolfram|Alpha has the best way to understand it:

You can adjust the values if they seem unlikely to you.

In the "close up" video, is anything in the background other than the UFO moving? Could it just be they took the above picture, blew up the brightness, and then simulated panning around the picture, retouched in the UFO, laid down audio. I can't find differences between that video and this background, no missing or additional lens-flare from lights.

point I was trying to make is, if you see something flying through the air, and you do not know what it is, it is technically classified as an unknown flying object.
This doesnt mean that it is of non terrestrial (Earth) origins.

    it doesn't mean it isn't,
    it just means its unknown.

as far as the question, "are we alone?"

I've seen way too much shit on SC and Hist to say that we are.
Most people cry coincidence and other things...

Just too much sometimes, Like THIS. OK, I Will go with the whole "Anyone could make those." argument.

    But I Counter with.
"What in the fuck would anyone need with a Battery then?"
I am guessing next we will say its to power the time travelers iPhone?

Odds are that other intelligent life exists. The odds of them being so far advanced than us that they are able to travel across great distances and discover us are infintessimally small.

And then there's the point that if they are advanced enough to reach here, why would they? We are hundreds if not thousands of years from that point and have nothing to offer.

I agree with Stephen Hawking in that we need to be the extraterrestrial life if the human race is to survive the long run. With all the planets and stars so far discovered and being more than likely empty, we have all the expansion and resource possibilities we should ever need.

I dunno.. why are we so fascinated with an ant colony? They're certainly not as intelligent as we are but how much $$$ and time have been spent studying them..?
