Punk got what he deserved. Hopefully parents get what they deserve. Sued for all the homeowners costs, attorney, lost work time, possible damage to home, and then of course pain and suffering. Maybe someday people like these scum suckers will realize they are responsible for thier offspring. At least unil they are 18 or killed by good guys.

For what basis would they sue? Mental anguish only goes so far, and if you start suing for everything a family has, then you are just as bad as the guy breaking into your house and you tarnish the image of the community.

How about starting with the actual losses experienced by the intended victim homeowner - loss of wages, legal defense fees, etc.

Screw tarnishing the image of the commuity. Do you thing allowing criminals to not be held FULLY accountable for the costs and effects of their crimes helps the image of the community? Absolutely not.

There are organizations out there known as "Victims Advocacy" which help cover fees associated with being a victim of a crime - but once YOU, the voctim, are being investigated, those organizations quickly disappear and you get nothing from them. I say hold the criminals or their estates, or in the case of minor criminals (dead or alive), their families accountable for full restitution to victims for any and all costs associated directly or indirectly with the crime.

I've got nothing against holding people accountable for their actions, but good luck getting anything from anyone who has to resort to stealing. Plus, it would be no more of a deterrent to crime than the current laws. Just seems like you'd spend even more money and getting nothing in the end.

Why sue somebody when they have nothing to take?

Sue for the estate all you want, all you'll get is a bunch of stolen car stereos and cell phones, maybe a few joints.

    sounds like a good shot

I blame the mom and dad, this kid deserved better parenting!

Once it got to court the mom would be crying and wailing. "my poor pablo was such a good boy. but I had to work 2 jobs to provide for him and his 7 brothers from 4 daddies. BOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO" and it will get thrown out
