SI VIS PACEM, PARA BELLUM
Herding cats and favoring center
Just another one of those moments when I wish I was right-handed. I doubt very much they'll ever make one lefty.
Realized I didn't put this photo up, and the shooting-
Took the gun out to the South site not to long ago, all up close work, used a lot of clay pigeons someone bad with a shotgun left behind.
The gun swings great and with some practice and break in the bolt throw is fantastic. The break helps keep my cheek weld while running the gun, so I will take it, but it does put out some crazy fire.
The dot is a Bushnell TRS-25. I liked it a lot but the gun deserves better than 3 MOA, but it was very fast for those of you looking for an up close weapon only. Note- you can't co-witness the irons with this on.
I have just put a Leupold fixed 2.5 extended eye relief scope on it and plan to try that out as well. Its sitting on some low QRW Leupold rings. I will get a photo up soon here.
Kind of makes me want to try out a carbine class or comp. with it, I think it could be some really good practice with it.
I can't stress it enough, I am fully happy with the gun, the AR hasn't come out in a while. This thing is a lot of fun.
I have heard rumblings of a left handed one in the future.
Photos as promised-
this is the Leupold FX 2.5 fixed EER
the brake
If you haven't tried a scout scope, they are something else, I am a big fan. I think they would be worthless for a guy used to glass, but for those of us who only know how to shoot irons, it is nice. First scope I haven't hated in a long time.

Wow nice rifle. I know what I want for my new truck gun now.
The enemy of my enemy...... Is just one more set of targets to engage
Thanks for the review and early thoughts. Looks like an intense little package with LOTS of practical uses!
Put those doubts aside. Ruger now offers it in a lefty!

Just looked at the overview on Ruger. That's it, I friggin' want it.
I know normal scope mounts on a scout rifle kind of defeat the purpose, but I still love the fact that it's an option. Also, with that shorty barrel and standard threading, I'm thinking this would be a fantastic suppressor host.
Just call me 47
I wonder if any companies are working on replacement stocks for these yet. I mean they have them for rem 700s, and this rifle already accepts mags. Either way i think at some point I'm going to get one of these.
