don't forget besides the local LE BG checking you they also have the feds take a peek.
majority of CO is 90 day wait as SOP. some have come back within 2-3 weeks others the full 90. YMMV
once you procure your CCW take a shot at something NFA. the process never ends but well worth it.

I had to do the fed bg check for the utah permit, so I'm not worried about anything with the bg check. Have you procured anything NFA? I know about the forms and general procedures, just haven't talked to people that have gone through the process. Would Jeffco be receptive to NFA requests?

I don't think you can renew through El Paso county with an Arapahoe county address.
When I got mine in Arapahoe county, the Lady at the window said on on line 90 days before it expires to renew it.

there is a whole forum here NFA related. as for BG check. one is performed every time you apply for NFA and CCW. My current job (for now) required a major security check. even with attached info regarding security clearance that one was 60 something days wait time.

I checked before I moved, they said I could either renew with El Paso (when the time comes), or go through the app process anew with Aarapahoe. I go down to the Springs every so often anyway, so I'll just renew with El Paso. It's cheaper that way too. But sure as I'm sitting here, I have a CHP issued by El Paso County with my Aurora address on it.

Yep, you can continue to change your address on your original CCW even if you move out of the county.

Applied with Larimer County on March 3 (three weeks tomorrow) hoping for a month or month in-a-half wait.
