it depends on how much work you want to do and what tools and know how you have. vz58 mags aren't all that expensive. also it is much easier converting ak mags for the vz58 than the other way around. there was a czech sight i was on that even sold ak drums modded to work in a vz58

here's a czech website that sells vz58 parts and accesories www.sa58.cz they sell 40 round magazines that are basicly ak rpk mags modified for a vz58 here's a link to the mag where they have lots of pictures of it
