Issued in 1953 and recalled in 1954, the frame and cylinder was aluminum and stretched after only a few rounds fired making a very dangerous situation. The forcing cone got further and further away the cylinder as well as the top stap being eaten away as it became more and more exposed. They were just waiting to come apart.

The Air Force Survival piece would make an excellent addition to a collection, but most were returned (destroyed) and replaced by S&W.

The Model 10T was produced from 1957 on with the model 64 in Stainless from 1970 on both ending about 2000.
