Bet he had bald tires. He could have 10-wheel drive with bald tires and have the same trouble. I am always shocked at how many people think that because they have a 4x4 they can go anywhere in anything yet they still have bald tires. Doesn't matter how many wheels have power if your tires don't have any traction...that goes the same for stopping too. 4x4's can't slow down any faster than 2-wheel drive...this is directed at all those tools that drive 80 in the snow in their 4x4 SUVs. Hope you're not behind me when I need to stop.

Man I agree about the 80 mph and stopping. These asshats are sliding every which way trying to aviod hitting a car but yet still do 80+. I use to carry "c" batterys in my car when I was younger, ahh how I miss those days.

Im not home or I would have been cruising past most people. Get your 2wd mustang pos outta my way! 20 mph on the highway....you should be on a side road. And yes I will put my tires in the middle of the lane with all the slush and gunk as I pass you and get all that shit on your slow ass!

Exactly. I didn't take a look at his tires, but I'd be willing to bet he was in need of some. Only the right-rear tire was spinning when he was trying to get up the hill, lol.

Saw a red Ford Ranger fish tale back and forth a few times in the middle lanes of I-25 as he tried to gas it around someone as soon as he got on the highway. I rolled down my window and flipped him off when I passed him. I don't think he noticed.

The commute home was *fantastic*. I've never gotten home that fast during rush hour, EVER. Steady 45 mph, no slow downs, no stopping.

Looks like today is worst than yesterday according to the news.

Foxtrot - What kind of motorcycle are you riding that you can chain up? The reason I ask is my dad works the graveyard shift and rides his to work almost everyday that he can which means he comes out in the morning to find snow sometimes. Even worse, he commutes up a pass after work and may find snow halfway up and has on a number of occasions. Like you he went through a blizzard recently but had no idea he would run into it when he started his ride.

Sounds like you're a die hard like him. He evens rides to work when it's near 0deg...I think his lowest so far is 4 deg or something. I couldn't do that but he loves it. The worst I have been in was a nasty hail/rain/sleet storm from east of Hartsel to Denver via 285. Hardest 100 miles I ever spent on a bike. The hail got so bad so fast that before I knew it there was 6-8" built up on the the road and all I could do was stay in the tire tracks left by the car in front of me. Worst part was I had a half shell helmet and 1/4-1/2" hail was coming at my face sideways. As you know, people make the funniest faces when they see some crazy SOB on a MC in that shit.

I'd like to tell him to get some chains but I didn't know they had such thing for bikes.
