    Default Glock 26 or 27?

I have owned a 26 and really liked it, I have never shot a 27. I do shoot a 22 and reload so the mag/ammo thing is a big plus for the 27. And most of my shooting is done with mild reloads with less felt recoil then most 9mmm loads so the 27 would be fun to shoot for GSSF and range fun.

But the 26 would be nice just to mix it up and have 2 calibers, of course I can reload 40 cheaper then buying new 9mm so if I go 26 I then have to start reloading 9mm and that costs money to get all the tools/supplies. Maybe I should go with a 29

Anyone up north have a 27 I can shoot to try?

With you owning the 22, and already being set up to reload 40, I think your best bet would be the 27, but I would certainly recommend you try one out, and be sure you like it. I didn't like the recoil out of the 27 (I don't really care for the 40 anyway), so I wound up with a 26 and love it.

If you get the 27 you can always get a 9mm barrel for it; cant go the other way.

I normally shoot at G23 and love it. Have a G22 as well and it's a fine shooter. When I took my CCW class, the instructor let me try his G27 and it felt like it had less recoil than normal. Since I love the .40 caliber, I had planned to get the G27. Same caliber, one ammo to buy and can keep LOTS of it on hand (cause, you know, it's for 3 guns)

I will shoot a lot with carry ammo to get used to it, but my 40 reloads are softer then store bought 9mm so for range/comp use its no big deal. And like coloccw stated I can always get a 9mm barrel, plus I could get 357 sig barrels if I wanted. If I go G26 I am stuck with 9mm. I have probably 2k of 40 now and plans for more when I get more brass. I would probably get 5-10 G27 mags but would mostly use my G22 mags for both. The G27 is looking good!

I did think the 26 was sportier and funner then a 17, hopefully the 27 will be also? I will try one, when I find one.

Or do I get a cool SIG or HK? I do need a shotgun, but if I get the G27 I would save enough to get an 870 also

I say pass on the Sig of HK, Glock 26 or 27 all the way, and an 870 also lol. If you need some 40 brass I have a nice size box of it that I don't even have a pistol for any longer, could probably make you a good deal or trade on it.
