    Default Lone wolf barrel

Does anyone have experience with the lone wolf barrels?

I love my G19, but I am wondering if a lone wolf barrel would improve it much. I do not shoot lead so no need for that.

Are they more accurate? Assuming I am as accurate
Are they better? More reliable? Or just a barrel for people who shoot lead?

The barrels tend to give more support at the 6 o clock position on the brass, so if you reload it will keep your brass in much better condition (helps reduce the infamous "Glock smile" if you are using hot loads). I believe the chamber is a bit tighter so you will likely get a little bit higher velocity out of it as well. In theory, this might make it a little less reliable, but I have yet to have any reliability issues in my 10mm Lone Wolf or my G27 9mm conversion barrel.

I picked up a .357 SIG barrel for my G22, cost about $80. Accuracy is a little better than the factory .40 S&W barrel. I'm not ready to say this is due to the barrel as I am shooting lower quality .40 rounds.

It was a simple drop in replacement. I take both barrels to the range and several boxes of each ammo. The mags hold either caliber rounds just fine.

I don't like the logo on the top of the barrel, but if you can find one of the Lone Wolf barrels under $100, total cost, it makes your pistol that much more fun to shoot.

I just got a LW barrel for my Gen 4 17 (for piece of mind when shooting my lead reloads) I've only put 150 rds. thru it so far to test my lead loads--functioned perfectly. I would have to do some side-by-side bench testing to tell if there is any accuracy benefit. I will also someday (when it's warmer out) compare velocities over the Chrony. My plan is to use the factory barrel for carry and the Lone Wolf for practice and matches. The LW definitely has a tighter chamber with a little more case support. Personally I would only buy this barrel if you plan to shoot lead, otherwise I don't see a lot of benefits(for the Glock 9mm's anyways, caliber conversions for the other Glocks is a different story).
