Hey guys. Never joined a forum before and having a bit of trouble navigating. Joined to get info on shooting events in the area. Want to shoot some ipsc style matches or something similar with the ar and 1911. Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Thanks. So where should i look to find any upcomming events? Id like to do some cqb stuff with the ar-15, primarily, I dont know what all the different type of matches are.

www.ecouspsa.com will get you pretty much all the local pistol matches short of a couple of oddball ones. 3 gun matches are all outlaw (not ran under a governing body) here in CO. There is a ton of cross over between the pistol and 3 gun shooters though.

There is a shooting sports section on this site that announces most of the shooting competitions in the area, and give updates to the matches. A couple of the match directors post here regularly too.

Looks like you're off to a good start here. If you ever have a question, just ask. Most of us are happy to help a new guy along and won't beat you up for not knowing something (unlike many other forum sites).
