Americans are very disconnected from war. Most have never lost anyone to war. Now, Europe knows war and death. Read some of the statistics from WW1 and WW2. Countries losing 1/3 or more of their male population. And they still live where the war was. We have no idea. There you have generations of people who witnessed it first hand still alive and hopefully letting the younger generations know the horrors of war.
I am not real fond of nazis myself. But, when we used to go to the gunshows in denver back in the early 80s, it seemed everyone else was a nazi. nazi memorabilia, nazi tattoos, nazi patches on jackets and vests, nazi everything. I havent been to but a couple show in the last 20 years, hopefully its changed for the better.

To each his own, I guess as to what they collect and admire.

Having know many survicors and having been to Yad Vashem numerous times and having family in the war, I probably wouldnt pick that side to collect.
