    Default Hello from Saudi Aurora

I've long been interested in AR's. I've recently convinced the wife to let me start building a gun collection I can pass on my to my children and I want the first piece of my collection to be an AR.

The options out there are overwhelming to say the least. I have looked at so many different pieces and have so many questions. I still don't know where to start due to the fact that everyone has an opinion and everyones opinion is different.

I've been posting on a couple national forums but hope that this local forum will give me the knowledge I need to build the gun I will be happy with.

Those smiley sum up how I feel right about now.

    Welcome!

You've come to the right place. Lots of good local (and non local, as well) folks here with lots of knowledge of the Black Rifle and other stuff, too. But be warned, Black Rifles are like potato chips...you can't have just one. Ask me how I know...

Don't be afraid to ask questions, and check the site out. Oh, and watch Ginsue...he'll be pointing out what you should get with one hand and swiping your M&M's with the other...

I guess a lot of it depends on what you are looking for 16" 18" 20", piston or gas, plinking tacticool competiton. SO many questions. I only have one and I love it but I already feel like I NEED more.

Enjoy the site these guys are awesome.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

My only real requirement is that I can drop a zombie from 75 yards.

In all seriousness I'm hoping to build something that can fire thousands of rounds, work well in a fire fight and take down targets at the range from 75+ yards.

    Zombie 101

Only European Zombies move fast enough to be considered as threats from 75 yard out. American Zombies are slow moving and most of them walk in circle.
