Default Sad Saga - Reporter Lara Logan Story

    Damn...

Cairo mob brutally assaulted CBS reporter Lara Logan

    USA Today, Feb 15 2011

"Logan, who was reporting for 60 Minutes, was surrounded by more than 200 people "whipped into frenzy." She then became separated from her TV crew and security and then suffered a "brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating." She was saved by a group of women and about 20 Egyptian soldiers,..."

I Agree that it was wrong and it is a horrible thing.
I Do wish it had not happened to her.
I will have to go with the old adage "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes"

Violent revolution AGAINST a pro-American leader.... and you chose to stay?
    umm, yeah
The time to go was at the first sign of trouble.

Agreed. I don't like to hear about this but her dumbass didn't listen when they said Americans need to leave! What did her and anderson cooper think they were special because they are press? they should have hired better security!

meh...who cares. don't send a blond in the middle of a bunch of people who think women are below them...FAR below them.

don't send a douche like cooper out there and put them in the front lines unless they are fully aware of what can happen to them.

I half wonder if it is some kind of a ploy to top coopers claim. I never saw any footage on the articles I have read today on yahoo and aol. I am sure they were recording.

I don't really care for the media any more. I get sick of watching BS on the news all the time, making up whatever they can to get a story. it is almost a constant depression watching the news. If people watch Nancy Grace all day every day I wouldn't be surprised to see them go on a rampage or suicidal.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

Fox News also had a reporter and cameraman seriously injured in the mob, but I didn't hear about it all over the other news outlets. Unlike Cooper who didn't really get injured and it was all over every headline. No one but Fox reported on their guy. I saw the Fox News guy (Greg Palcot maybe?) on tv and he was messed up. Bandages all over his face and scalp, face bruised and swollen. Got his ass beat.

It maybe dumb, but that's their job. Really no different than a reporter who hangs out with an infantry unit. It's dangerous but people want to see this shit on their TV during dinner at night. I'm willing to bet they get paid pretty good.

They should have thought twice about a woman reporter over there though. If there is one thing those people hate more than Americans it is American women. She didn't stand a chance and she and her employer should have known better. Oops.

I know someone who does that and it drives me crazy. I'd go over and see the same damn story for months at a time.
