    I also include make/model of any mods and accessories with each and price paid. That part is just for insurance reimbursement purposes.

    I may have to update mine. Most of it is on poloroids with the info written on the white strip at the bottom. Sitting in a fireproof box.

    if i had any guns i would record make, model, serial #, keep the purchause reciept and the same info for any accessories that are on them, and take a pic.

    Many of receipts printed now are on thermal paper. It will fade quickly. Make a photocopy of it is you want a more permanent record.

    Make, model, serial number, accessories, photo and seller information all saved to my iDrive and Dropbox so I can get to it from anywhere.
