I'd like to establish a baseline 100 yds zero with no wind on my 308, but at $30.50/hr I refuse...

When you take into account BCSC's repair costs due to the amount of damage the rifle range incurs from missed shots..

Sorry you feel that way, we try to be tops in the area with cleanlines, service, and what we can offer. Unfortunately that may cost a little more.

Our memberships are where the savings come in.

And just for an example, there is a new range opening in Longmont....$300 membership fee, and $33.49 a month. Thats almost double our prices!

But like Dawnpatrol said, to each their own, we all have different tastes and values, thank goodness or the world would be a boring place!

For me it is about convenience. Blucore is more expensive than the Firing Line where I was a member for two years, but no rifle range at the Firing line. Same when compared to Family Shooting Center or Pikes Peak Gun Club, but takes a little more planning to go to those place, particularly PPCG.

At BluCore I can pop over for a quick hour of shooting and be back to work. Annual membership is steep unless you do a lot of shooting.

Facility and people make it worthwhile for me. Took a friend over today. Both of us were in need of some mental health treatment.

If you shoot 2 times per month on the pistol range (or once a month on the rifle range), the membership pays for itself. During my first year, I averaged 2 visits per week. In a year, that would be 104 visits. If you take their current membership fee and divide it by 100, that would be $3.50 per visit. Not everyone goes that often, but you can see how it's a deal for anyone who goes on a regular basis.

I know the range fees may seem pricey to some people, but keep in mind that they put in new ventilation on the pistol range before they opened, and put a separate new ventilation system on the rifle range this year, in addition to remodeling the retail and range master areas. It's not like they are keeping things the same but charging more... they've made a LOT of improvements. Anyone who has been there knows the ventilation on the ranges is awesome.

Some people will like BluCore and some will not. Luckily there are several ranges to choose from in the Denver area. We can all find the one that suits us best.

Anyone that doesn't like Blucore should go try that new place in Centennial. You'll be right back to Blucore as soon as you can get there.

I'd just like them to change their policy from person/hr to lane/hr.
    But, their place their policy.

The reason there is a per person policy is for insurance purposes.
