So what would have happened if the dog attacked its owner or the shooter after getting done killing the shooters dog if the shooter had not shot? What would people say then?

Im about as big of a dog lover as they come and I have to side with the shooter.

Since when does the humane society have the power to issue citations?

I would also like to know what authority the Humane Society has in this...why would they determine if there was animal cruelty? I don't understand that at all. This morning I did see they thought the shooter acted properly.


By the way I am a dog lover and support the Humane Society.

In Colorado Springs, the Humane Society is run by official "Animal Control Officers". These are essentially animal focused LEO's.

Now, why CoS blended animal control officers with the HS is beyond me, but.... Here we have it.

this reminds me of a vid I saw on youtube (that now I can't find)

in the vid a badge carrying member of the ASPCA demands access to private land to inspect a barn and calls the cops when the guy filming refuses to let him on the property because the owner is not there.

then the cop arrests the guy because he wouldn't turn off his camera when told.
