    Default Federal green bos xm855f

I just got some Federal green box XM855f with LC (Lakecity I assume) production date of 2010. They are not pretty and clean brass casing and rather dinged up. I checked 6 different boxes.

Is this normal for this brand of ammo? What does the F stand for? Has there been any issues with this ammo?

Depending on where you got them from. The LC is Lake City brass. Is it loaded ammo?? And is the "F" marked on the case/box or the brass?

If it's on the case/box the "F" may stand for Flawed in which case the Military would have rejected it and put up for sale for civilians.

If its on the brass this brand may have been a sub-contracter AKA Federal to load the ammo for the military. To keep up with production of ammo for the war.

The F is on the box. Brass is LC 10.
