Update. Ok, I've shot a few matches now with the hopped up SX2/SLP. Everything has gone really well. The feed port mods and C-Rums carrier work perfectly. No pinched thumbs and feeding is significantly smoother and less problematic with sub 8 sec reloads, reliably and without rushing. Sub 7 sec on a good day. Charging handle and bolt release buttons are a must have and work very well. The stippling has worked exactly as expected and several friends have asked for the same treatment to thier shotguns. I added a two shot caddy to the right side and have used it at least once in every match. Likewise, the plus 1 magazine extension I installed has found its way to be usefull in every shotgun stage I have shot with it. The only mod which I found to be totally useless was the nordic aluminum magazine follower. This part is really just for show and I kinda wish I had not wasted my money on that one. The plastic follower works just fine. In addition, the Nordic follower is not drop in. The large round nipple on the front of the follower needs to be filed off to maintain smooth loading of the first shell going in. The nipple interacts with the tip of the shell to hold the shell down against the bottom of the feed port and causes it to wedge a little. Push hard and it will go, but you shouldn't have to bother. Since this was intended to be a universal part for all 12 gages, I can understand them not knowing how poorly it works in the SX2/SLP platform. Mine works fine now, but learn from my mistake and don't bother with the the Nordic magazine follower in your SLP. Overall, I really like the shotgun. All mods except for the follower have worked very well and the shotgun has been 100% reliable on factory ammo and even my light, practice reloads have been about 95% reliable. I'll throw up some new pics some time soon. Still planning to do a vented rib barrel, but money is tight and I will probably save that for a winter project.
