Default Grass Fire N. of Peyton-Need Info

Help me out folks, if you can. I'm at work right now, and getting info is a little tough. Right now the fire is within 3 miles of my house, and possibly moving closer. Our house is just north of Bradshaw and Sweet.

Are you in Peyton Pines or on Sweet?

I work at Arrowhead Trailer Sales as the service manager on the corner of Sweet and Peyton HWY.

We could see the smoke down southwest of our place this afternoon. Called El Paso County S.O., and they said there were crews there so we didn't worry much more about it. News said it was 15 acres or so, but they also said it was near Calhan. You know the news, it's much better to be FIRST than it is to be ACCURATE. Anyway, a couple hours later when we headed down to the Springs, the smoke was gone, so I guess they got it handled.

Well, the fire stopped about 2 miles from the house. We're in Peyton Pines, up on top of the hill. Thanks to all of the firefighters, mostly volunteers, who put that sucker out. Total burned was about 200 acres, and I don't believe any structures were burned.
