A 6.8 prob

I'm having fun with my first AR build.

The front sight gas block does not line up the pin holes in the barrel.

I could put in one but not both and I do not know if the gas port will line up.

Barrel is a 20 inch Hbar but I got it in trade and do not know how made
it.

Any info or questions would be appreciated.

FSB's and barrels are drilled and reamed as a matched unit at the factory. The reason the holes are not lining up is because the FSB you have is not original to the barrel. A couple of ways to skin this cat- bolt on FSB/gas block(easiest for the homebuilder) or you can have it re-drilled and reamed- you can also tap the old holes in the FSB and put setscrews in them and have corresponding flats on the barrel for the screws to bear on.
