Delete my account - CLOSED

I was/am a dumbass. A couple years ago, I asked to be deleted/banned. That was stupid of me. Pride sometimes bites you in the ass. Needless to say, I had to grovel to come back.
I had never been on a forum before, I had no idea how they worked or what went on or what was said. I thought (wrongly) that only military guys would be interesed in ARs and it would be serious technical discussions. I got mad about a silly conversation that people were having and threw a temper tantrum. (I do have PTSD).

moral of the story... get over it and stick around.

I Dunno about anyone else, But Mazin seems like the kind of guy that if you came to him beforehand explained things and apologized for the inconvenience, he would be OK with it.
But if you just wait until the last second and then dump the sale and bring drama then things turn out bad.


Yes, its bad gcompact backed out on the sale, pretty sure apologies and humility would go a long way here. (I know, I said that, right?)
I Would like to also add that I dont think it was appropriate for people not involved in a sale with Gcompact to "contribute" to that feedback thread.

I think sometimes it is the opposite. Unit armorer for 12 years when I got out I wanted nothing to do with the mouse gun. Even though I have been here many years it was only a couple of years ago that I built an AR.

Many more civilians own AR's because that is all they have been exposed to. The Military that have traveled and are a little older knew of all these other weapons other than the AR. Qualifying with a FAL in 81 opened a whole new world for me.

I think of the mods were immature and banned people over stupid shit, I would have been out a couple time by now... Luckily, their not, so if you want off, do something really stupid, or just leave.

Pretty sure the mods can ban by IP address, and username. So he would have to create a new account form a different IP with a new username. Its silly to me to have someone say "delete my account". Why even post that? If you don't want to be here, don't be here.

Shit comes up, I of all people know that. The whole issue was he just pretty much said "getting another gun, thats it so screw you". I would have totally understood if he would have called me and said "man i'm sorry but I think I'm going a different way". That wouold have been cool and I would have respected him for it.

But thats all I have to say on the subject.

I thought I have seen Marlin or Ginsue comment in a thread about watching someone write a post or PM?

Yeah, you can't do that. They are just looking at the bottom of each thread that shows who is viewing it. That is often delayed though, and that person may not actually be there. Or they've left a window open (I do that all the time). What they do is the same thing you can do. Just go to the Quick Links tab on the upper right of your screen, click on "Who's Online" and it shows you a general idea of who is on what page.

Right now, SAFriday is replying to this thread and Brass shower is composing a PM.

Yeah, that and I also do something else all members can do and I open another tab with the members profile. It shows where they are at the moment.

I have no intention of banning him. I hope I'm above some of the stuff I have seen mods do other places. Heck, from what I've seen, You guys get away with a whole lot more here. If I was as petty as some I have seen, about 95% of you wouldn't be here anymore.

Like I said, if he hadn't deleted the stuff he wrote, it would be a differant story, maybe. He has been back, most recently at 2:38 today, so I know He ain't quite over us yet.
