    Default Rotating duty/ carry ammo

How often, or do you, rotate your duty/carry ammo? Why? I'm talking about the "good stuff" for serious social work, not the plinking/practice stuff. Really looking for some LEO input. Thanks.

    Duty ammunition?

Do you buy it, or does the department buy it?

If the department buys it, then replace it when you shoot it for qual. Always try to have an extra box or two, or... It is helpful to be friendly with range masters and firearms instructors.

If you have to supply your own duty ammunition, then once per year is fine. Shoot it up. Mix it in with your practice ammunition and see if you can really tell the difference. If not, then you have good practice ammunition. If you can tell the difference, try some other practice ammunition.

Personally, I try to keep my practice and duty ammunition as close to the same as possible if not the same.
