    You were basically ripped off.

Some FFLs don't even know this but an FFL can absolutely ship to an FFL via the US Postal Service. They can use normal, cheap means, not expensive overnight services.

$47.00 for the shipping - (they said that it had to be overnighted by law and I did insure it for $600.00, but I've shipped plenty through UPS and the first $100.00 in insurance is included and then it's something on the order of .35 cents for each additional hundred in coverage.)
$8.00 for "handling" - basically their charge for throwing it in a box and slapping a label on it.

In short they charged me $85.00!
Transfer fee seems high to me but I guess it's normal for a brick and mortar store. I usually use home based FFLs who charge less.

$47 for shipping was too high based on what I said above. Priority mail flat rate would have been under $20 with FULL value insurance coverage.

$8 for handling is totally bogus because of the $30 for the transfer fee. For all you know they DID use the USPS and pocketed even more.

I'm all for businesses making profit but this and that Granpas story sure puts them in a bad light. This was beyond profit, it was gouging the customer.

I am currently a member of the range and I do 95% of the buying there. They do not have killer deals but they have a pretty good selection. They get a good amount items that just hit the market fairly fast. They are a class 3 dealer, huge bonus, and the closet store to me.

Have you checked out That little gun shop at Colfax & Tower, right next to that CDOT yard? It is on the SW corner. Can't recall the name of it.

I'm amazed that guy stays in business. I've never seen any vehicles there.

The second gun I ever bought was a shotgun from them. The guy told me that it was a gun that it wasnt. i waaaaaaaay over paid.... you can literally get the gun that I bought used, for about as third as much brand new. They absolutely took advantage of a young inexperienced buyer. (this was years ago) . needless to say, I have not purchased with them again.

then getting attitude from them everytime trying to use the range... I havent been back there.

To my knowledge- it is against the rules to use a holster at Firing Line.

The range at the firing line is a JOKE. Some of the employees are assholes. A lot of the people that shoot at that range are knuckle draggers. I am shocked there are not weekly shootings there.

Ouch. Guess I won't be seeing you there anytime soon! I don't doubt that there are many shooters there with poor range discipline, but I don't see much of that because I shoot on the members side. I don't know any employee there who I would consider to be an a--hole. Granted their range needs updating, but as a member, it is cheap to shoot there and I've met some great people shooting over there, and have had a lot of fun.

Maybe they're assholes because you're an asshole to them?
