    Default Noob question....

Still a bit of a noob here, but was wondering if RMGO will be at the Tanner show with RMGO merchandise?

Never have seen them at the gunshows. Not sure why. They are on this forum, hopefully they will respond and answer.

I don't go to tanner anymore, so I dunno either. I usually see some gun rights people there, and it's always the same message "This year, our gun rights are really in trouble. We need money for...to fight...etc, etc"

    Default NOOB question

Haven't been to gunshows in 20 years until last month when I went to Tanner and got a M&P Compact 9. I now want to get a used 22LR for plinking, as blasting the 40 and 9 for hours at the range is spendy. Looking to get a P22, Beretta NEOS, Ruger MarkIII type of price range gun. Do the dealers tend to have more used inventory on day 2 of the show ?

Or do I just grab the NEOS at Gander on sale right now ?

The Gunshow is hit and miss. Sometimes there are a few good deals, other times, not.

IMO, if you find a good price on something you are looking for at a Brick and Mortar store, buy it. If you can wait and maybe don't mind going to a few gunshows over a few months you might get lucky

Thanks , yeah I think even though I am not real picky about what I want. I would rank them as

    1) Walther P22
    2) Ruger mk 2 or 3
    3) SW A-22 ( I think is the model)
    4) Beretta Neos

So I am not sure saving $20 makes me wanna jump on the NEOS vs finding a good used one.

I sure wish 380 ammo was cheaper because I love shooting my P238

    Fixed it for you.
The Walther is a POS and you will regret it if it ever breaks. The SW is a good piece if the ergonomics work for you. The Neos is OK-I had one for a while and it just never took, odd ergos as well to me.

The MK II/III is the chevy truck of the 22lr auto pistols. It will eat about anything you feed it and on the odd occurance you have an issue with it parts are readily available. Tough as woodpecker lips and a proven performer over the last 60 years or so since the basic design came out.

And for sentimental reasons the Ruger too, my dad had a MarkII , he bought brand new in 1970 and I was born in 1973. It was the handgun I learned to shoot on. My dad in a sentimental moment gave it to my stepbrother a few years back. Low and behold he hawked it at a Pawn shop. I would have paid him retail + just to not sell it.

Maybe I will just buck up and pay the $300 at Sportsmens and buy the MarkIII they have. I have to keep it a secret from my better half as I have bought in the last 3 months

    Default Hit and Miss

AR_ART is correct it is hit and miss, also some dealers at gunshows are not very nice and have a lot of over priced firearms. That is why I went into business myself and sell at the gun shows. I don't always have the best prices but I think they are all fair prices. I don't price gouge just because I have a hard to find item. For example I have an LC9 that I am selling for $359.95 (first come, first serve, no reserves). I will be keeping it behind the table for CO AR15 members to have first crack at it at 9AM. It will go out on the tables at 10am on Saturday for the general public. I have NEOS, Ruger, Sig Sauer Mosquito (special price) in 22LR. I don't have the buying power of the big box stores but I put a flat markup on all my guns and I do the same on ammo. I always have a show special (mosquitos this time) and enjoy talking with everyone. I don't know everything nor do I have all the answers but I am willing to share my knowledge and opinions (which are usually wrong according to my wife ).

Hope you stop by this weekend, big blue sign (R&S manufacturing) north side row 11. maybe I can help you out with your purchase, looking forward to meeting you.
