Default Auto knives in Denver area?

Anybody know of any places that sell decent quality auto knives (switchblades) in the Denver or South Metro areas? I have to open a lot of boxes and like being able to open my knife one-handed. I've worn out a couple of small cheapos, so I'd like to find a good quality mid-sized auto or assisted opener that won't fall apart and will hold a decent edge. Thanks!

I'd advise getting either a small fixed blade or a one-handed opener like a spyderco instead.

Quality automatics cost as much as a decent .380 pistol, unless you want something like a Benchmade side-opener or a Mikov.

Seem hard to find to me, mostly because the auto knives are illegal to carry here. Assisted sure, but not auto! I like them but agree you have to spend a few bucks to get a quality auto.

I really like my kershaw assist open. I open one handed very easily and carry to work. Decent prices too

I got a SOG-TAC when they first came out. They overplay the "tactical" bullshit on their site but its a good knife. Built well, durable. Smooth action and blade locks up nice and tight. Has a safety so you can lock it in the closed position and can't accidentally open it. IIRC I got it for a little over $100.

They came out with a new recurve-style blade since I got mine that I like a little better (I've found that shape is more practical... cuts better than a flat edge), might end up getting it sometime in the future.

If you're just opening boxes with it, Just go to HD, They have a folding utility razor knife. Opens easily with one hand, and you don't have to worry about sharpening it, Just flip/replace the blade when needed.

I've had one for 7-8 years now, it's tough enough to strip the insulation off 750mcm wire. opens quickly, and has a strong lock.

Just make sure it's the Huskey brand from HD, the one Lowes has, is a piece of junk.
