I believe this was the gentleman.

I was looking at it too. I have a couple of Nikons and like them both. The D40 looked to be smaller than my D1h but there were some drawbacks. Glad it went to a good home.

BTW: I can get Energizer batteries, for most all Nikons, fo a decent price. Been using them in both my cameras with good success.

What I'm really curious about is the D3100, anybody know anything about them? I damn near pulled the trigger on one over the holidays. My niece is getting married soon, so I need to get something. I need another good camera anyway.

Years ago, I used to shoot a lot of biker events and sold a few hundred photos and a couple of articles to Easyriders and other bike rags. Did a couple of assignments, covered some of their bike rodeos, tattoo shows, etc. My F3's were wonderful and I had some killer lenses, but they weren't autofocus or digital. I've had a lot of photos published, but I've got a lot stashed that aren't printable! Drunk biker chicks, gotta love 'em!

Well, I went ahead and made the leap, and bought a new D3100 kit with the 55/200 second lens. It remains to be seen if I have the brain cells to figure out how to operate it!

Congrats on the 3100, rondog. And I really had the itch for a D90, too. But, I'm gonna go with the newer model...the D7000.

I've read really good stuff about it and I like the metal body as opposed to the plastic one.
