I'd be very nervous to have a fire in that kind of wind.

The tourist goes up to the older gentleman sitting on his porch on the Great Plains and asks if it always this windy. He replies that he is 86 years old and hasn't pissed on the ground yet.

Or as an old pilot once told me, "It's a good day to go downwind."

Just stick some rocks in your pockets and you'll do fine.

Definitely need to be careful if you want a campfire with this kind of wind.
For mine the other night I made a Dakota-pit type fire but made it pretty deep so the wind couldn't pick it up.

That's the one thing that has me on edge, heavy wind, fire, in the hills and no where to go. I've planned well with evac routes etc but...not kidding myself. That shit comes roaring "up" with this kind of velocity behind it...I'm DOA. STILL have not picked-up my two fire shelters, a huge prep gap and shear stupidity on my part (mental note to resolve).

I live in a small canyon. The wind just blows like a banshee on days like this.
There must be small dog warnings out.

I was a genius and road my motorcycle the past two days, makes for a interesting 25 mile commute. Felt nice and sand blasted when I got home yesterday.
